Come play kickball, all skills to absolutely no skills. Even if you don't want to play, we need cheerleaders on our sidelines! Baseball diamond below the Capitol High School track, on the corner of Conger and Cooper Point. Wheel chair and bike access to the left of the parking lot, winds along the track to the diamond. Please indicate if you are coming by responding to this post.

Some of us have played for a few weeks and it is SO much fun. Thanks to Brooke and Jim Johnson for putting this together!

Youth Fishing Derby

Event Description:

The eighth annual Ocean Shores Youth Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday. Kids' registration starts at 7 a.m. The derby is in need of equipment and boat owners who are willing to volunteer their time and equipment to take kids out on boats. there are city and state requirements to volunteer for this event; Donations should be forwarded to OS Elks Lodge youth Fishing Derby, P.O Box 896, Ocean Shores, WA 98569

 Aberdeen Founders Day Parade

 

Date: June 26, 2015 - June 27, 2015

Event Description:

Aberdeen Founders Day Parade and Festival will take place beginning Friday evening June 26 with a murder mystery dinner at the Aberdeen Museum. The wonderful event continues on Saturday June 27 with a parade starting at 11:00 a.m. The children's activities and vendors portion of our festival will follow at 12:00 and the two day event will wrap up with an amazing street dance located on Broadway, in downtown Aberdeen.

Location:

All of the events take place in downtown Aberdeen. The parade route runs east along Market Street and the festival will be located on Broadway.

Specialized Recreation

 

The Thurston County Recreation Services Department provides recreation programs and activities for people of different abilities. Our primary goal is to provide opportunities for learning and growth through the experience of recreation and leisure activities. We take pride working in partnership with the Cities of Olympia, Tumwater, and Lacey to provide activities and programs through Specialized Recreation.

These programs are designed to give persons with developmental and/or physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in events and activities within the community and surrounding area. Most are suitable for ages 16 and older and include day trips, monthly dances, bingo, Movie & Pizza Night, Dinner Club and fitness programs.

The Olympic Air Show is a fantastic opportunity to watch the tactical stunt demonstrations of a U.S Navy F/A-18E Superhornet and other planes. The museum will also have different exhibits to explore including a display of its helicopter collections. Food vendors as well as a variety of youth activities will be available at this event.

Slug Fest at Northwest Trek

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park
Learn and celebrate the banana slug! Have fun watching human slug races, getting up closer and personal with slug specimens, joining in on hands on crafts and activities, and even more! Tons of learning opportunities, you can even earn a PhD in Slug-ology!
