Lifelong leader and innovator Connie Clerici will lead off a panel discussion on a 
Lifetime of Leadership: Career Phases and Stages featuring three women who are innovators and visionary leaders.  The panel will share how they carved their own career paths, overcame obstacles and transformed the impossible to possible. 

 

Three panelists will follow Clerici to explore how to become an "enduring leader" - integrate change, while retaining core values - and discuss how it can open doors of opportunity, and help leverage your career and business to create impactful change in your community.

The panel includes Mayor Bonnie Crombie, Mayor of Mississauga; The Honourable Madam Justice Gertrude Speigel, Superior Court of Justice of Ontario and Teawna Pinard, Expert on Women's Leadership & Founder of Women Leading Legendary Lives. The Moderator is Nita Chhinzer, Department of Management, University of Guelph.

 

 


A Report Card on the Ring of Fire, examines the progress that has been made to develop the mineral-rich region over the last year. Overall, the report finds that several factors, including permit delays, an absence of infrastructure, and intergovernmental quarrelling have stalled development. The report evaluates the progress that has been made to overcome seven key barriers to development. It finds that as a result of insufficient momentum across all barriers, it will be years before a first mine is opened in the region.
