(1) ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:

 

Mississauga Board of Trade's Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at:

 

International Centre - Conference Centre

6900 Airport Road, Mississauga (Airport Rd. & Derry Rd.)

7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. (incl. breakfast at 7:30 a.m.)

The AGM featuring keynote speaker Tim Hudak (Ontario PC Leader) will occur in conjunction with MBOT's December Good Morning Mississauga business networking event. 


At 7:45 a.m., during breakfast, attendees will receive a special informative presentation on Digital technology - changing how customers look for your business by Yellow Pages Group.

The purpose of the AGM is to:

  1. Approve the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting
  2. Hearing and receiving MBOT's Annual Report by Chair
  3. Approve the audited financial statements for the preceding year
  4. Receive Nominating Committee's Report and Election/Appointment of Directors & Executive Committee
  5. Attend to any other business brought properly before the meeting 
     

(2) NOMINATING COMMITTEE REPORT:

 

Mississauga Board of Trade's (MBOT) Nominating Committee is responsible for presenting a slate of Directors, to members, to ensure that MBOT is governed with excellence and strategic vision.

 

In recommending qualified candidates, the Nominating Committee uses guidelines which are approved by the Board of Directors. The maximum number of members on the Board of Directors is twenty (20). The Nominating Committee has developed a slate of candidates to serve as the 2014 Board of Directors.

 

(a)  Proposed Election Slate:

 

After reviewing a number of criteria and potential candidates, the Nominating Committee nominates the following members for election to MBOT Board of Directors for a three-year term.
