For Immediate Release

Mississauga Board of Trade's 2013 Golf Classic

Mississauga, Ontario (June 13, 2013)  - Over 100 business and community leaders came out for Mississauga Board of Trade's annual Golf Classic held June 13 at Lionhead Golf & Country Club on Mississauga Road in Brampton.

The event serves as a major fundraising activity for the city's leading business association, a not-for-profit organization that provides leadership in supporting the development of its members and representing the interests of Mississauga's business community at all levels of government through active policy advocacy and government relations.

The Golf Classic included a BBQ lunch, shot-gun start at 2:30 p.m., golf on one of Canada's best public courses and a dinner with great food, silent auction and raffle. Throughout the day sponsors greeted guests on holes, along with various contests and prizes along the course.

One of the highlights of the evening was the appearance of the 100th Grey Cup, which was won in 2012 by your Toronto Argonauts. Two cheerleaders were also in attendance for a photo-op which allowed attendees to pose with the Grey Cup. A representative from the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum in Hamilton, Ontario was also in attendance to answer any questions and ensure the cup's safety at all times.

The event was a huge success, with thanks to all participants, sponsors, the MBOT Golf Committee and MBOT staff.
