It's hard to believe that summer is already winding down.

It's been really busy with lots of visitors.

As always there is lots going on in our Downtown. Be sure to read the calendar so you don't miss anything!

Janet Dixon Watercolors
Continue Through August

We hope you'll stop in and see these beautiful paintings by New Bern artist Janet Dixon.

Her show consists of paintings that are done in full spectrum watercolors and a second one of the same scene using only red, white, and blue.

It creates a very interesting show - you'll see that a painting can be done with a limited palette, then what happens when other colors are added.
Dragonflies and Birds galore!

From western North Carolina we have just received these clever dragonflies. Large and small, hanging or on a stake, they'll brighten your day!

And a new flock of birds have also arrived - made of rocks and steel. They caused quite a stir as they marched up James Reed Lane.

Peace and Garden Poles

The collection of poles has grown!  3', 4', 6', even address poles.

The originals were carved into wood and painted.

From those originals the images have been transferred to pvc for longer life.

They come with an auger type stake for placing in   the garden.

We also have a round stand if you want to put it in your room. In the  photo at the bottom we've just tied it to our rail on our porch.

The illustrations are wonderful with inspirational sayings.
