Downtown News and Calendar
There is always something going on in our Downtown!
We are getting new sidewalks and light poles on South Front Street to tie the look into the rest of our Downtown. This project is paid for by the MSD tax that only Downtown property owners pay so if you don't have property from the Neuse river to Hancock Street or the Trent River to Broad Street you are not paying for this project! The project is moving along nicely and is causing minimal inconvenience on that street.
Some shops are moving around. Bear Hands Pottery is relocating to 1208 Pollock Street and the frame shop is reverting to it's previous name, Ballantyne Framing and has relocated to Craven Street where Beads and Bowls was (who too have moved out of our Downtown).
Plans are already being finalized for our Downtown Christmas celebration. We'll keep you posted as those details are finalized.
