Text Messaging Has Turned 20!
The first SMS or text message was sent with a Christmas greeting in 1992, according to this USA TODAY report. Unbelievable that it has been more than 20 years! I know that there was a world before text messaging -- hard to believe now as it is so integrated into our business and personal lives. It is the easiest and quickest way of communicating. Not just that, it also saves a lot of cash that would have been spent on calls. But text messages do much more than just communicating your message. They also convey emotions. Simple symbols can add more feeling to an SMS than a hundred words. Here are several quick texting symbols to be mindful of: o:-) Angel smiley :-ll Angry :-* Kiss :-D Laughing :-, Hmmmm...,smirking We would like to know how you use text messaging. So, please comment.
