Shabbat Kiddush Discussion, Saturday February 21

This past fall, Rabbi Fuchs published his newest book and his book tour took him to many places including Germany.  As our guest this shabbat, Rabbi Fuchs will discuss his book, his trip and how he sees themes highlighted in his book reflected in daily lives. For many years, Rabbi Fuchs was the senior rabbi at Congregation Beth Israel; and following his retirement served as the president of the World Union for Progressive Judiasm.  A reform rabbi by training and reform Jew in practice, Rabbi Fuchs has had a a long and textured relationship with the orthodox community in particular Beth David.

Please join your friends for a social (SoShul) evening of interesting stories, good food and comraderie as Beth David celebrates the Russian heritage of many of our members.  Our hosts for the evening will be Boris and Masha Stambler (64 Whitehill Drive, West Hartford).  There is no charge.

BINGO
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!!
Please consider volunteering for the bingo program. This is our largest ongoing fundraiser for Beth David and it depends on our members to run smoothly.  All positions are in need of additional volunteers. A once a month commitment would relieve volunteers who have been dedicated to the program for YEARS (and I mean 20 years in some cases)!

Basketball Anyone?
