Chanukah Candle Lighting
  • The first night of Chanukah is December 16 (Tuesday). The candles should be lit each weekday evening after 5:00pm.
  • On Friday, December 19, the candles should be lit by 4:00pm, and before the Shabbat candles are lit.
  • On Saturday night, December 20, the Chanukah candles are lit after the recitation of Havdallah (5:04pm).
At Beth David, a community Chanukiah is kindled every day of the holiday between Minchah and Maariv (about 4:15pm). We welcome children of any age to lead this candle lighting, and the children each receive a Chanukah treat from Rabbi Adler. Please call Rabbi Adler (860-236-1241) to schedule one of the holiday nights for your children or grandchildren to lead this community lighting of candles.

Next Study Session, December 14 at 7:30 pm
