Nursery Assistance
The sign-up sheet for parents to help out in the nursery is now posted on the nursery wall near the outside door (Wool St.). Parents can sign up for one or more Sundays to assist in the nursery during the 9 am service.

Trinity Library
The Trinity Library has newly purchased books on the shelves, and they have been placed in order by author along with the children's books in their own section.  Please be certain to take the card from the back of the book, write your name and date on it, and place it in the blue envelope on the library shelf.  When returning your book, please place it in the blue tub on the shelf marked "book return."

Book of the Month:  The Year of Living Biblically by NPR's A.J. Jacobs is an absolutely hilarious read. It's about his quest to live the ultimate biblical life. To follow every single rule in the Bible as literally as possible. To obey the famous ones: The Ten Commandments; love thy neighbor; and be fruitful and multiply.  But also, the hundreds of often-ignored ones:  Do not wear clothes of mixed fibers; do not shave your beard and stone adulterers.  He's the same author of Know It All.  Hint: It's book #108.  Enjoy!

 Adult Sunday School
This Sunday we will be hearing about two saints, one ancient who died in 430, one modern who died in 1931, both of them converts to Christianity whose conversion was the impetus for a complete reversal in how they lived their lives. Come hear all about it in the parish hall at 10:15.

     Vestry Report
The vestry, the governing board of the parish, met this past Tuesday evening. Highlights of the meeting were the approval of funds to buy benches for the churchyard, the replace the fence between the church and the house next door, and to rebuild the side porch on the Thrift Shop; a draft of the proposed 2016 budget was also reviewed. Vestry meetings are open unless otherwise noted, and anyone is welcome to attend; if there's an issue you would like to address with the vestry, see Father Todd or talk to one of the people on the vestry before you plan to attend a meeting. Meetings are generally held on the fourth Tuesday of the month, at 7pm, in Trinity House.

     Nursery Update!
Beginning this Sunday, we will have a sign-in sheet in the nursery for all kids coming in that day. We'll ask for your name and your mobile number in case we need to reach you during the service or during Sunday School, and we will ask you to sign your kid in and out. When we had only one or two kids in the nursery, Alice didn't need a sign-in sheet or contact info; but now, with so many kids in the nursery, to be on the safe side, it's time to ask y'all to sign your kids in and out. Thanks for helping us to keep your kids, and everyone else's kids, safe!
Just a reminder, too, that the nursery is open during the 9am service and during the Sunday School hour, up until 11am. With the rise in the number of babies and small children at the 11am, we are looking into expanding the nursery hours to include the 11am service, but haven't done so yet. Your feedback on that is welcome!

    Young Families
You might have noticed that over the past year, a lot of new folks have started worshipping here at Trinity, and many of them have young children. Because there are so many of them, we will be having a potluck for families with kids in elementary school and younger on September 20th at 4pm, at a local park. If you have children in this age range and you haven't received an e-mail or an e-vite from me about this event, it's because I don't have your e-mail address (or, I think your children are older than they are, so please correct me!). E-mail me at [email protected] so that I can include you.
If you don't have young children but are wishing you were being invited to a potluck, talk to me. We're interested in starting up various small groups; some might be determined by age, others by neighborhood, others by a particular hobby or interest (like the St. Martha's Guild), and others by a Bible study group or other ministry. I would love to talk to you about how we can get something going. Todd+
