Happy Holidays from Children's Dentistry Group, LLC

     

As winter approaches, we would like to wish everyone a very festive holiday season and a happy and healthy new year. Taking a moment to reflect on this past year, we'd like to say thank you to all our patients and their families! The confidence you show in our practice by referring friends' and families' children is enormously appreciated.

  

  2013 has been a busy year in our practice. In keeping with our quest to provide the highest quality dental care for our patients, Drs. Herer, Patenio, and Younger, as well as our administrative and clinical staff have been busy with continuing education in their respective areas. Three of the clinical assistants (Clarissa, Ana, and Stephanie) worked hard studying for and passing the Illinois State Dental Society's course in expanded duties for coronal polishing.

  

   We are continuing our tradition of community involvement. February is National Children's Dental Health Month. Each year, we visit schools, daycare and early learning centers. This year we began volunteering in January and continued through February and March. We visited 17 area facilities - giving a presentation on dental and oral health to over 1100 children. In 2014, we will be on the road visiting many of the same classrooms and looking to add some new ones!

  

  The CDG Candy Buy Back Program collected 209 pounds of candy that was shipped to Operation Gratitude in California, along with cases of toothbrushes and toothpaste that will be used to make care packages for our troops overseas. This year, we had 3 very generous partners helping our program by donating resources; Holt Dental Supply, Crest/Oral-B and Sunstar. A big THANK YOU to all of you that participated! 

  

  We are currently hosting our 3rd Annual Food Drive for the Northern Illinois Food Bank! The Food Drive began November 15th and will run through January 15th. Donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off during our regular business hours. The Northern Illinois Food Bank is looking to provide holiday meals for those in need, as well as assisting in the efforts to help the tornado victims in central Illinois. The need is greater than ever this year. 

There have been a lot of health care changes being thrown at all of us! Our billing office can answer general dental insurance questions. However, with all the new changes with insurance plans, the best person to contact regarding specific employer-sponsored dental plans is your Human Resource Department or Benefits Administrator. We strongly encourage all of our patients to make themselves aware of their specific dental plans' coverage limitations and benefits. The subscriber is ultimately responsible for any and all non-covered expenses.
