The lions at Pasadena City Hall have always invited interest. In this photo from 1982, intrepid art conservator Myrna Saxe clambered up a fire department ladder to inspect one of the more than 150 cast-stone lions in preparation for the proposed restoration of the complex. More recently, the artist collaborative, Freewaves, installed a multi-media art production that features sound installations and other events that respond to the presence of the lions at City Hall. Be sure to stop by City Hall to hear the lions roar!
