In 1874, residents of Pasadena welcomed with joy the first baby born in the young settlement. The birth of Helen to the family of George Wentworth took place soon after the original settlers of the "Indiana Colony of California" arrived and predates even the naming of the city. Residents of the colony collected funds to purchase a baby carriage for the infant.

A timeline of other notable milestones in the city's history will be included in the Museum's upcoming exhibit, Crown City Jubilee.
