Greetings!

Though it may seem unusual for a Professional Coach to choose  'Failure' as a newsletter theme, that is what I have done this month. I hope you are able to glean some useful insight.
     Enjoy!

Failure

Failure is normal. Though none of us like it, it is very real. Failure is a tool that enables us to navigate life. We all fail. And those who have a special penchant for daring new ways of thinking and doing and being, tend to fail more often. Failure comes with the territory of imagination and creativity and experimentation.

The fear of failure can be a powerful block to moving forward. Afraid that 'it might not work', we can find ourselves embracing the mindset of 'not willing to try.' The negative 'what ifs' overpower the possible positive outcomes. We become stuck.

Much of the time, failure need not be devastating or traumatic. It is just a sign that we are headed in the wrong direction. It may mean that we need to try again, or that it is time to re-consider our plans, re-think our ideas and/or re-focus our actions. Failure can be a gift.

  • How might you embrace failure as a normal part of a well-lived life?
  • How can you allow failure to be a wise guide?

 ``````````````````
Encouraging and uplifting God:
 relieve me of
my fear of failure
and release me into a spirit of boldness.
May I dare to
try and keep trying.
When I  fail, teach me to be gentle with myself.
In the midst of the ups and downs of life,
grant me wisdom, a sense of humor, and the ability to look failure in the face while simply owning it for what it is...
Amen
