Greetings!

As we celebrate Valentine's Day this week, some will be focused on the goodness of their romantic lives and friendships while many will be imagining a more fulfilling personal connections. So, the theme this month is New Relationships.

Building Relationships

Building relationships is a great resource for rich living. Our minds and souls are nurtured when we engage in new personal connections. However, developing friendships for present and emerging seasons of life can be challenging. As children, we are regularly in situations where friendship building is the norm. As adults, most of our relationships, apart from family and a few long-term connections, are role and responsibility based. The settings for making friends as well as the relational skills necessary are now ours to design and create.

Relationship building does not just happen. It is something we must decide to do. Sometimes our paths cross with people with whom we connect right away. But more often than not, friendships are built over time. That means we have the power to decide to create more personal connections and relationships in our lives.

When was the last time you made a new friend?

  • How might your life be enriched by a new friend?
  • How can you be intentional about making friends?
  • Is there someone you have met recently, with whom you can envision building a friendship?
  • How might you start?
Ready to Move Forward?
  • Are you on the precipice of something new?
  • Are you eager to make changes in your life?
