Does Your Practice Need Help in Providing ACA Oral Health Benefits to Children?

From the First Tooth website, http://www.fromthefirsttooth.org, has videos that can help physician offices learn more about providing fluoride varnish in the primary care setting as well as educate parents on simple ways to improve the oral health of their children.

The website provides information on how to implement an oral health assessment and fluoride varnish program for children into a primary care practice.  Videos demonstrate how to easily apply fluoride varnish.  There are pictures of electronic medical record screens to show how the procedure is documented in four medical record systems.

The website also has patient education videos that can be displayed in any physician office waiting room.  Our most popular one is "Healthy Mouths for You and Your Baby", found under Providers, Additional Resources. If you are interested in the video, please contact Yvette Moretti and we can send you a flash-drive or give you directions for downloading the You Tube video.

From the First Tooth can also provide training to your practice through a free lunch and learn CME/CNE program.  The training includes hands on training for fluoride varnish application, free start up supplies, free lunch, and assistance with workflow strategies and billing.

If you are interested in the free training program, please contact Jan Ruh at [email protected] or call 860-977-9233.

Training can also be done on line at: http://www.smilesforlifeoralhealth.org, Course 6.  Free CME is available.
