Medical Student Home (MeSH) Program - Quinnipiac University/Frank H. Netter School of Medicine
The Medical Student Home (MeSH) Program was ranked by the students in the Class of 2017, as the best and favorite course, and every one of the students has expressed considerable satisfaction and appreciation for the efforts of the preceptors. Our ability to recruit so many excellent primary care physicians to our Clinical Faculty is, in no small way, a consequence of your efforts on our behalf.
All of our current preceptors have indicated an intention to renew their affiliations, and continue to work with their students through the second year. This, for us (and for the students) has been extremely gratifying.
In August of this year, just three months from now, we will matriculate our next class, the Class of 2018.
As a reflection of their satisfaction with our progress, the LCME (the group responsible for medical school accreditation) has authorized us to increase the class size from 60 to 90 students. The incoming Class of 2018 has been chosen from a pool of over 5,250 applicants, and should, once again, be a group of intelligent, mature, and highly motivated students. However, that increase class size also means that we now need 90 new MeSH preceptors to take on these 90 new students.
Attached, you will find an electronic copy of a new and updated recruiting brochure. We would be very appreciative if you could find opportunities to distribute the attached to your PCP membership.
