| 2014... the Year of "I AM"
| |
The words "I AM" are a holy expression for the name of God - the highest aspect of yourself. This year, we explore the highest possibility for our lives by choosing a quality each month to focus on and express. In every moment know that you are the living expression of the Christ! This year we invite you to consider empowering your life
with the following affirmations:
"I AM"...
Boundless... Real... Courageous... Aware... Curious... Adventurous... Lighthearted...Outrageous... Limitless... Connected... and Sacred
In the month of September, let us affirm together:

"I may never have the privilege of knowing you, or what you do for a living, but I know something true about you - unless you find a way to Love and Serve you will never be truly happy" - Albert Schweitzer Is it possible to live a life of perpetual Joy? We will explore your spiritual gifts and how you are uniquely designed to make a difference and be a beneficial presence in all circumstances. In this experiential and lively workshop, we will explore: * Presence to Presence communication * Purpose * Joy as your true North * Your Spiritual Gifts - who you're here to be * Visit the Akashic Records to discern your Soul's contracts * The Power of the Covenant Tuesday, September 16, 7 to 9 pm "Visioning 2.0 - Being and Becoming All We Are Created To Be" Register Here! "Visioning is by far the most important and helpful spiritual practice I have discovered in my 25 years of ministry!" - Rev Mary Omwake Based on Rev. Michael Beckwith's landmark process, visioning combines Unity's two basic prayer practices (silence and affirmative prayer) in a manner that facilitates maximum authentic spiritual growth, development and unfoldment. Visioning puts us on the front end of change and provides direction and focus. It supports us in what we say "Yes" to and when to say "No." Catching God's vision aligns our energy and unleashes our God given potential to live a life of joy and fulfillment. * Stages of Spirit - Essential aspects include: * Growth, Development, & Unfoldment * Essential Aspects * Love * Deep Listening * Asking Rightly * Embodiment of the Divine * Releasing All That No Longer Serves * Gifts * Willingness * Gratitude, Appreciation, and Praise Wednesday, September 17, 7 to 9 pm "Metta - Practicing the Presence as Loving Kindness" Register Here! "The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart." - Buddha Metta, or Loving Kindness Meditation, is an ancient practice first introduced by Siddhartha Gautama over 2500 years ago as an antidote to fear. Simple to learn and easy to practice, Loving Kindness Meditation has the power to help us remember our loveliness and live in harmony and peace at all times with all people. The practice, described by the Buddha as a means to liberate the heart, encourages us to cultivate love, compassion, joy and equanimity. Join us for a quiet, peaceful 2-hour meditation experience that will continuously increase in sweetness and facilitate deeper levels of understanding.

| Fillmore Healing Class Available
| |
Join us as we explore the spiritual principles that support the expression of health and wholeness in our minds, bodies and affairs. We will be working with Myrtle and Charles Fillmore's interpretation of how Jesus used and demonstrated those principles in his own life. Such principles will be presented to support participants in developing a practical understanding of Myrtle and Charles' theology as heart-centered metaphysicians. The goal will be that through the development of such practical understanding, participants will be inspired to also become heart-centered metaphysicians in their own lives. We also expect them to develop a "tool kit" for using healing principles in their daily lives and in supporting other people in their own healing process.
10 SEE Core Credits available

| Men's Group Breakfast Saturday, September 6

Men's Group Breakfast - Saturday, September 6
from 8 to 10 am in harmony hall, with Cathy Combs.
Cathy says, "My basic premise has always been that we are Spirit Incarnate. I didn't always have that wording but I've always had that knowing and writing my books has made that knowing crystal clear and I'm so very grateful. I have always been connected with a quiet calm and confidence that I consider the hallmarks of my life. I have always known that we are innately good and that knowing is an immeasurable blessing. These knowings are the hallmarks of all I do as I continue to share my messages with a world I love so very much.

| In the Presence Meditation
| |
This meditation provides the opportunity to go into a deep, deep experience of the Presence. Meditation does wonderful things to our human bodies, giving them time to revitalize and heal themselves. At the same time, our souls experience their real, true selves, going to the place inside that is timeless and eternal. After the meditation, there will be a sacred prayer circle to share and honor one another's prayer intentions. You'll experience such serenity you'll want it to go on forever.

| Women in Unity Meeting - September 20
| |
As we move into the Fall season, we will want to resonate with the positive qualities of that season - reaping the benefits of the harvest planted in the other seasons. Positive qualities of this season include nurturance, acceptance, groundedness and abundance. When we resonate with these qualities and not our problems, we live our lives with greater joy and happiness. When we are out of sync with this element we may find ourselves expressing and living from a negative state of mind and missing out on the abundance of what is there for us. Resonance Repatterning is a system that will allow us to realign ourselves so we can fully enjoy the positive qualities of this Fall season.
Shirley Collins, LSCSW, a member of Unity Church for over 15 years, will be offering Seasonal Repatterning for the Unity Women's Group on Saturday, September 20. It will be in her home with a potluck luncheon immediately following the group repatterning. The address is 10608 Bluejacket Street, Overland Park, KS 66214. The house is located just south of 103rd St. & Nieman Rd. If you have questions or need clarification on directions, call Shirley at (913) 341-2704. [email protected].
