 | 2014... the Year of "I AM"
| |
The words "I AM" are a holy expression for the name of God - the highest aspect of yourself. This year, we explore the highest possibility for our lives by choosing a quality each month to focus on and express. In every moment know that you are the living expression of the Christ! This year we invite you to consider empowering your life
with the following affirmations:
"I AM"...
Boundless... Real... Courageous... Aware... Curious... Adventurous... Outrageous... Visionary... Limitless... Connected... and Sacred
In the month of July, let us affirm together:

 | New Featured Artist in our Spotlight Gallery
| |
Bhasweti Gewhas returns to our Spotlight Gallery as the featured artist for the months of July and August. Bhasweti gives the following explanation of her artwork:
Sanctuary of Peace
"My paintings are depicting different environments; beauty of United States. I create my colored papers for making collages. My paintings are mixed media paintings using paper collage, water colors and dry pastel works. Originally from India, now citizen of US, my art, integrates two very rich but different cultures. My work is inspired by a folk art form from India - Sisha Work- where artisans use broken mirrors, sequins in their artwork. I am experiencing my ongoing spiritual journey through my art. As an energy healer, I work with life force energy. In my art, I use brilliant colored sequins to represent dazzling, alive, fresh healing energy of nature - the life force energy. Symbolically, I blend it with plants, water, stars, sun, birds and raindrops to bring the dynamics of the healing energy of nature. These art works will be able to bring the healing touch in your home and life. They will be your Sanctuary of Peace."

 | Soul Collage Returns!
| |
SoulCollage® is a spiritual process that supports the journey through life by using images to express both the wisdom and the shadow-side of one's soul. This is a time to gather together and make SoulCollage® cards. There will be a meditation, followed by card-making time and then time to "read" our cards as a group. All supplies will be provided for you, but you may bring special magazines if you would like. Also bring any cards you have already made. If you would like to purchase additional card blanks, they are available at the UCOP bookstore. You don't need any artistic ability; the cards are made with simple cutting and pasting skills. Everything you need is already within you, waiting to be discovered through this simple "soul-tending" process. If this is your first SoulCollage® experience, contact Barbara ahead of time and plan to arrive at 5:15pm.
Rev. Barbara is a certified SoulCollage® Facilitator and has trained with Seena Frost, the originator of the process. She is an ordained Unity minister and a master teacher who brings creativity, heart and soul to life. Her passion is to guide individuals and small groups through discovery processes that lead to greater self-awareness, providing tools that deepen students' intuition, insight, relationships and experiences. You can contact her at www.YourSoulWorks.com. Child Care is available; please indicate your request for child care with your registration. | Lessons in Truth
| |

We will be embarking on an exciting adventure to explore Truth with
Dr. H. Emilie Cady. Dr. Cady was a physician and metaphysician in the New Thought movement. The chapters that form Lessons in Truth are some of the very first metaphysical discussions published by Unity. This book is an important foundation to the understanding of Unity metaphysics. This course will include
both large group and small group discussions of Emilie Cady's book Lessons in Truth. Over the course of this 5 week journey students will spend time exploring Cady's concepts of Truth including how human thinking determines humankind's expression of freedom and goal attainment. They will learn how to use this knowledge in their personal life as well as the purpose of denials and affirmations as an aspect of the role of prayer in the development of our wholeness.

 | Guest Speaker, Terry McBride - plus Workshop!
| |
On Sunday evening, July 27 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, Terry McBride will lead a workshop that will transform your life. He asserts that people have unlimited abilities that can be realized through conscious choice. You will learn how you can tailor your choices to work for you the way you need them to. You will learn how to use choice, how to take charge of your life's creative process in a way that becomes fun and rewarding. You'll learn how to move toward what you want instead of just struggling and efforting against what you don't want. Charles Fillmore states that "you are a unique expression of the Divine and that is the Truth that sets you free." Terry shows you how that freedom allows you to step into your life with authority and use the same power Jesus used to create what you want. Suggested Love Offering: $30 Register here! Terry McBride is an internationally recognized, highly sought after motivational speaker in the metaphysical movement because he lives his message. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book "The Hell I Can't!" - the story of how he cured himself of a supposedly incurable E.coli infection in his spine. From his early twenties to mid-thirties, Terry had 27 major surgeries on his spine and abdomen, and at times was not expected to live. Terry decided to fight that prognosis and through his study and practice of Choice, he created perfect health where once there seemed only disease. Terry can show you how to start right where you are and use choice so you can begin moving toward what you want. Believe in yourself and come listen to this inspired teacher.
