"When the Ground Is Shaking,
Hold the Sky"

This Sunday we have
a special treat!
Guest speaker AND vocalist, Karl Anthony, joins us to share his message and his music. And at 1:00, Karl will present a fabulous laser light show workshop.  See
                                   below for details.

Hope you can join us for this exciting and inspiring presenter!
Karl Anthony Workshop

Karl Anthony's life-liberating concerts and social action contributions are legendary. From 20,000 seat arenas in Moscow to a child's hospital room, his work unites humanity.  Karl has received several Gandhi/King Season for Non-Violence Peace Hero Awards for his humanitarian efforts. And when he is not touring the world, he works at Rady Children's Hospital as part of their Healing Arts Department providing a  musical outlet and connection for children and their families.  Karl's strong distinctive voice, which is a cross between Sting, Robert Plant and Cat Stevens, drives his community outreach and creativity. His music communicates a meaningful urgency which is a perfect home for his always poignant lyrics and his unforgettable live performances. His career crosses countless boundaries and truly is an international language of service, action and pure joy.

Karl Anthony will also present a brilliant laser light show entitled "MANTRA" with vibrant acoustic Kirtan music in harmony hall 2 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm after his Sunday lesson. MANTRA is a fusion of Sanskrit and English chants while surrounded in an atmosphere of vibrant laser lights.  Open your eyes to a spectacular visual experience and watch your busy mind be captured and embraced into the present moment. That is what Kirtan music does best. Music and light are powerful healers and whether you choose to sing or just chill in the vibration, you will be nourished deep within every cell of your being.  The audience is included and becomes part of creating the Mantra event. This moves the community into a peaceful and blissful state and many have said it is like nothing else they have experienced. It is as if you are being showered in light.

This year we invite you to consider empowering your life
with the following affirmations:

"I AM"...
Boundless... Real... Courageous... Aware... Curious... Lighthearted... Outrageous... Visionary... Limitless... Connected... and Sacred

In the month of June, let us affirm together:

Soul Collage Returns!

SoulCollage® is a spiritual process that supports the journey through life by using images to express both the wisdom and the shadow-side of one's soul.  This is a time to gather together and make SoulCollage® cards.  There will be a meditation, followed by card-making time and then time to "read" our cards as a group.  All supplies will be provided for you, but you may bring special magazines if you would like.  Also bring any cards you have already made.  If you would like to purchase additional card blanks, they are available at the UCOP bookstore. You don't need any artistic ability; the cards are made with simple cutting and pasting skills.  Everything you need is already within you, waiting to be discovered through this simple "soul-tending" process.  If this is your first SoulCollage® experience, contact Barbara ahead of time and plan to arrive at 5:15pm.

Rev. Barbara is a certified SoulCollage® Facilitator and has trained with Seena Frost, the originator of the process.  She is an ordained Unity minister and a master teacher who brings creativity, heart and soul to life.  Her passion is to guide individuals and small groups through discovery processes that lead to greater self-awareness, providing tools that deepen students' intuition, insight, relationships and experiences.   You can contact her at www.YourSoulWorks.com.

Got a Question?

Join us Sunday, July 6, when all three of our ministers... Rev. Bob Barth, Rev. Jan Stromseth and Rev. Brand Nagel... take the platform together to answer your questions.  The congregation will be given the opportunity to ask their burning questions on what this ministry team thinks about all manner things to do with Unity or spirituality in general.  So come with your questions.  It's sure to be a spontaneous, fun, enlightening and thought provoking Sunday.

In the Presence Meditation

This meditation provides the opportunity to go into a deep, deep experience of the Presence. Meditation does wonderful things to our human bodies, giving them time to revitalize and heal themselves. At the same time, our souls experience their real, true selves, going to the place inside that is timeless and eternal. After the meditation, there will be a sacred prayer circle to share and honor one another's prayer intentions. You'll experience such serenity you'll want it to go on forever.

Lessons in Truth

We will be embarking on an exciting adventure to explore Truth with
Dr. H. Emilie Cady.   Dr. Cady was a physician and metaphysician in the New Thought movement.  The chapters that form Lessons in Truth are some of the very first metaphysical discussions published by Unity.  This book is an important foundation to the understanding of Unity metaphysics. This course will include
both large group and small group discussions of Emilie Cady's book Lessons in Truth. Over the course of this 5 week journey students will spend time exploring Cady's concepts of Truth including how human thinking determines humankind's expression of freedom and goal attainment. They will learn how to use this knowledge in their personal life as well as the purpose of denials and affirmations as an aspect of the role of prayer in the development of our wholeness.

Guest Speaker, Terry McBride - plus Workshop!

On Sunday evening, July 27 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, Terry McBride will lead a workshop that will transform your life. He asserts that people have unlimited abilities that can be realized through conscious choice.  You will learn how you can tailor your choices to work for you the way you need them to. You will learn how to use choice, how to take charge of your life's creative process in a way that becomes fun and rewarding. You'll learn how to move toward what you want instead of just struggling and efforting against what you don't want. Charles Fillmore states that "you are a unique expression of the Divine and that is the Truth that sets you free." Terry shows you how that freedom allows you to step into your life with authority and use the same power Jesus used to create what you want.

Terry McBride is an internationally recognized, highly sought after motivational speaker in the metaphysical movement because he lives his message. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book "The Hell I Can't!" - the story of how he cured himself of a supposedly incurable E.coli infection in his spine. From his early twenties to mid-thirties, Terry had 27 major surgeries on his spine and abdomen, and at times was not expected to live. Terry decided to fight that prognosis and through his study and practice of Choice, he created perfect health where once there seemed only disease. Terry can show you how to start right where you are and use choice so you can begin moving toward what you want. Believe in yourself and come listen to this inspired teacher.

Yoganetics Summer Session

Why deny yourself something that feels so good and is so good for you? Yoganetics is smart yoga for bodies in transition-a gentle, therapeutic system that builds a strong core and increases flexibility while decreasing stress.  It's never too late to begin-or to start again if you've been away. People with back pain, arthritis and fibromyalgia have found relief with Yoganetics.

Now the Poet Laureate of Kansas, Wyatt has been teaching yoga for over thirty years. Her Yoganetics book was deemed an "Editor's Choice" by Yoga Journal and her work has been featured in Self, Dance Magazine, Parents, Body and Soul and The New York Times.  "This work," she says, "saves my life on a daily basis."

Do You Shop on Amazon?

Many of us do our shopping these days from the comfort and convenience of our own homes using the Amazon marketplace. Did you know that if you go to our website first, and then enter the Amazon site through our link, the church will then get a small percentage of that purchase?  It's like free money for the church!  And it doesn't have to be a spiritual book or something church-related either. We will get a small percentage of anything you purchase on Amazon, if you go through our site first on your way there. How cool is that?!  It doesn't cost you anything to help support your spiritual community because you were going to shop anyway, weren't you!  Now you can do it and help UCOP at the same time. Just click here and it will take you to the UCOP Amazon access page.  You can also find the Amazon access page from a link on our Homepage as well at www.ucop.org.   So happy shopping and thank you for your support!  We truly appreciate you.
