"A Christmas Carol"
presented as Reader's Theatre through
story, music and meditation

We have a delightful change of pace for you this Sunday! Did you realize that the story of Scrooge is really all
about love?  In this second week of Advent, as we
put our focus on the abiding LOVE present in this season and within each of us, we invite you to enjoy
this classic and enduring favorite by Charles Dickens.

Soloist Willis White will be joining us once again, interweaving beautiful music within this story.

And sharing their talents in the reading of the story will be our director of Youth & Family, Brandon Nagel,
our Director of Communications & Worship, Jan Chapman, "Volunteer Extraordinaire," Lance Asbury and
our soon-to-be ministerial intern, Jeanmarie Eck.

You won't want to miss this one!
We look forward to seeing you there!

Youth & Family Christmas Show!
December 15th at 6:00pm in the sanctuary

It's Christmas Eve in the tiny town of Hope, Kansas and the staff of the beloved small town radio station, W.H.Y., is busy spinning Christmas carols for the good people of Hope.  That is, until the Scrooge-like station controller, Mr. Zander, arrives to tell them that this may be their last Christmas on the air!

Can they save their station?  Can they pull the people of Hope together to find a solution?  Will you join us on December 15th at the Rally to Save W.H.Y. in the "Nick of Time"?

The children and staff of our Youth & Family Ministry have been working on developing this play for about a year now, through workshops, rehearsals and set building days.  They have invested their love and endless joy into bringing you a show you'll not soon forget!  We hope you'll join us.  And bring some cookies too!  Hot cocoa and a Cookie Potluck will follow the show!

Circle of Dreamers

"You may say I am a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.
Perhaps someday you will join us.  And the world will live as one."

Come and dream with fellow dreamers.  We will gather in a quiet sacred space to contemplate the power of dreaming and to speak our dreams into a sacred circle of community.  We will dream for ourselves, our communities, our country and our world, letting our dreams become our prayers.
(love offering)

In the Presence Meditation

Tuesday, December 17th, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
with Debra Baker

In presence

This meditation provides the opportunity to go into a deep, deep experience of the Presence. Meditation does wonderful things to our human bodies, giving them time to revitalize and heal themselves. At the same time, our souls experience their real, true selves, going to the place inside that is timeless and eternal. After the meditation, there will be a sacred prayer circle to share and honor one another's prayer intentions. You'll experience such serenity you won't want it to end. This month, experience the special "All Is Calm, All Is Bright" meditation, a traditional favorite for the last 10 years!

Suggested Love Offering: $10

Debra Darpel Baker has been helping people to heal their lives for 20 years as a spiritual counselor, energy worker, Reiki Master and teacher.  She is a gifted medium and intuitive whose readings have been described as "life changing," "profound," and "extremely accurate."

Hear ye, hear ye! Fred Albers has a new CD!
Fred Albers, Music Director Extraordinaire, has released another CD entitled "Revelation."  He went into a music studio.  They turned on the microphones.  He opened his heart and let Spirit guide his fingers.  The result is a beautifully contemplative work of piano music that you will certainly want for your meditation practice.  And what a gorgeous Christmas gift to slip under the tree this year for someone special.
