Campus Beautification

mulchingThe church is planning a community-wide service and social gathering on Saturday, May 18th that we are affectionately calling the Let's Make Our Grounds Look MuLch Better Day. It has been several years since the grounds have had a fresh layer of mulch applied.  So on Saturday morning, May 18th, we invite everyone who would like to help spread some mulch around to show up at the church at 9:00am with wheel barrows, shovels and rakes, and clothes you can get grubby in, and pitch in for a few hours beautifying our landscaping.  Many hands make light work, so we would like to invite all teams to join in the fun, plus family members!  If we start at 9:00 with a big group, we are bound to be done quickly and have the whole rest of the day to relax!

And if there are folks who aren't so crazy about spreading mulch around, but would like to serve on the "Mulch Support Team," we could use helpers to provide water and goodies (suitable for serving outdoors) to keep our laborers hydrated and nourished.

RAIN-DATE will be Sunday Afternoon May 19th, 2013... but we know it won't rain on our event.

Unity Garden

Unity Garden has some wonderful news! Recently we applied for two different grants, as we still needed a few essential items for the garden and wanted to expand how much we were able to grow. Well, we heard back and - HELLO - we received both of them! One grant will provide us with more tools and supplies to help with our deliveries to Head Start.  We were chosen for the second grant from almost 1000 applicants from 48 states and 11 countries. That is impressive! We received seeds, an informational book, and money to purchase more tools. Please visit our Face Book page frequently for announcements and updates on our progress. God is good and we areUnity Garden Greens       prosperous!

AND...

Spring has sprung! Back by popular demand Unity Garden is having its spring plant sale April 14th  through May 19th. They will have a variety of veggies, herbs, and flowers for sale. The proceeds will help cover the garden expenses for this season. Unity Garden will continue to support the families at Head Start of Shawnee Mission. Come to Harmony Hall after the services each week to see what new plants Kelly has for you to purchase for your own garden.

To sign up to work at Unity Garden or help deliver our produce to Head Start, contact Brenda Brock

Youth and Family
Y.O.U.Calling all Guardian Angels! The Youth of Unity, UCOP's high school age youth group, knows and affirms that we are supported in many ways by guardian angels in our community. We are supported by your prayers, your encouragement, your love, and your financial abundance. We are holding our Annual Guardian Angels love-raiser and fund-raiser, and we invite all of UCOP to participate. Come to Harmony Hall on April 14th, 21st or 28th, and let us know what your Guardian Angel gifts are! Are you an angel holding us in prayer? Are you an angel assisting with financial abundance? Are you an angel sending us forth with love and positivity?

Did you know that your love and financial support have helped us attend numerous rallies (retreats), have fun over-nights, participate in numerous service projects, and magnify our spiritual being? Come find out more in April, as we get to know our Guardian Angels!
