Living the Empowered Life in 2013!!
Watch the video on January's empowered living moment with Patti Phillips!

Each month a member of our spiritual community who is living the empowered life will be sharing how Unity Church of Overland Park and Unity teachings have transformed various areas of their life.

Check out empowered living qualities for each month of 2013!

In January we focus on the empowered living quality of PURPOSE! Quotes and writings on living on purpose:

"He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how." ~ Friedrich Nietzsche.

"Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it." ~ Siddhārtha Gautama

"The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning." ~ Mitch Albom

"Your greatest self has been waiting your whole life; don't make it wait any longer." ~ Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free

"Purpose is the compass on the dashboard of my consciousness. When I have no purpose, I may wander around aimlessly, simply "going with the flow". When I have a purpose, I can turn within to my inner compass, and see if my current thought, feeling, word, or action is taking me in its direction. If it is not, I make a course correction. If it is, I continue on my way, at peace in the knowledge that I am expressing God's purpose through me and as me. I am living on purpose." ~ Charles Perry, Unity Church of Overland Park Ministerial Intern

Rev. Patricia's Blog - I Believe In You
Patricia Bass
Commitment is a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger you become.  Each time you make a commitment and keep it, you become more prepared to make - and keep - the next one.

Most people have the very best of intentions. When they make a commitment they fully intend to keep it. But the thing is, most people were just never taught the importance of commitment, let alone how to keep one. more
