Patti Phillips Each month a member of our spiritual community who is living the empowered life will be sharing how Unity Church of Overland Park and Unity teachings has transformed various areas of their life. This Sunday we welcome long-time member Patti Phillips to share her empowered living story!

Patti has been a member of Unity Church of Overland Park for 7 years and has worked in the business of women's sports and leadership for over 25 years, specifically the last 15 years in KC. She is currently CEO of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators.


In January we focus on the empowered living quality of PURPOSE!

Open Staff Positions 
Director of Communications (Full-time position) - This position is responsible for all communications at the church including production, creative development, management, marketing and social media in areas as graphics, slides, bulletins, website and Facebook. Those interested can send a resume/cover letter to Rev. Bob Barth.

Youth & Family Teen Assistant (Part-time position) - This position supports teens from 6th grade - high school (Uniteens and YOU). The teen assistant coordinates and assists teachers, sponsors and families on Sunday mornings, during regional events, and at social activities. Those interested can send a resume/cover letter to Brandon Nagel.

Youth & Family Assistant (Part-time position) - This position supports youth from preschool - 5th grade and is responsible for coordinating and assisting teachers, children & families on Sunday mornings, as well as assisting in planning and carrying out youth & family events. Those interested can send a resume/cover letter to Brandon Nagel.

Data Processing Coordinator (Part-time position) - This position maintains the membership database in order to maximize support and involvement of our congregation. The coordinator's responsibilities include data entry and report generation. Those interested can send a resume/cover letter to Rev. Bob Barth.

YFM Sunday, January 13 youth lessons
1st - 5th Grade

Youth and Family Playshop (Kindergarten - 6th grade)
9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, February 2
This is a full day of planned activities including games, crafts, creative fun, snacks, singing, etc. Lunch provided. RSVP required. To reserve your child(ren)'s spot, RSVP to youth and family director Brandon Nagel by January 29. $10 love offering.

Social Media Team - Spread the message of positive living on Facebook and Twitter. Looking for someone to join the team who is familiar and active in social media. If interested contact Tamie Rising.    

First Voice "Answering the call"- Help people feel welcome when they call or visit our campus by serving at the reception desk. We have an opening for Thursday morning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If interested contact team leader Donna Sherman


Video Team "Capturing the moments"- Spread the Unity message to our online community! Help video record and/or edit video of Sunday lessons. If interested contact team leader Don Randolph. Training provided!

     

Screens/Lights Team "Illumination for every celebration" - Operate the screens and lights during our services. If interested contact team leader BJ McArthur. Training provided!    

  

If you are interested in stepping in to service as a volunteer and not sure where, contact Jan Chapman , director of worship and volunteers at 913.649.1750 ext. 3025. Many opportunities to get involved are available and she will be happy to pair you with one that is just right for you!
