Greetings!

Gratitude is in the air! It's been the topic of many conversations and Facebook postings throughout the month. It's fun to see and hear all that people (including children!) are feeling grateful for in their life.

Being in the energy of gratitude creates peace within us. Being grateful for that which we have and the good we experience in our life expands into more and more good.

"Gratitude opens the door to... the power, the wisdom, the creativity of the Universe. You open the door through gratitude." Deepak Chopra

Thanksgiving Eve is a very special time of the year when we come together as a spiritual community to individually and collectively give thanks for all the good in our life and in our church. Join us for our Thanksgiving Eve Communion and Candlelight service at 7 p.m. All are invited to participate in sacred communion, where we honor the Christ in every heart.

May you and those you love experience a Thanksgiving filled with connection and love.

This Thanksgiving we give thanks for you!

Abundant blessings,
Unity Church of Overland Park

p bass I spent last Sunday at Unity of Montclair, New Jersey. As I drove around town on that bright sunny day, I saw lots of trees which had been taken down by the recent "superstorm". I met people who had experienced losses and some who had just regained power. And yet, nobody at church was talking about the storm. They were singing and clapping and celebrating God. They were full of gratitude and kindness and generosity. It spilled out from them as easily as the breath from their lungs. more

Christmas at Unity!
Christmas Series 2012 Sunday Christmas series
9 & 11 a.m., December 2 - 23

This year we celebrate a re-awakening to the presence of the Christ in us. The Christ is always there and at Christmastime we make a choice to search again and re-discover the truth of the Christ in us. Unity calls the re-claiming of the Christ in us the "Second Coming".

This Christmas season we will follow the journey of the wise men from the East who went in search of the Christ Child. Their journey represents our quest to reawaken to the Christ in us.
