The political season is in full swing and already the sound bites are flying. The sound bite is the newest political weapon.  A sound bite can be taken out of context and twisted to mean whatever will support one's own perspective or cast aspersions about the opposing perspective. No particular political party has the corner on this weapon. Everyone seems to be very adept at using it to their advantage. read more
The difference one person's vision has made!

Don Randolph Don Randolph had a vision for Unity Church of Overland Park, and he acted on it! His vision was to make our Sunday celebration services available to watch on video for anyone around the world to see. Don's been a part of our spiritual community for a couple years and has a passion for video recording. As Don took the initiative to begin video recording our services the funding to support his vision came flowing in. A congregant gave a designated contribution toward the video project and another congregant Chef Gary Hild offered to hold a fundraising dinner. We are grateful for the generosity of our congregation to support our video project and certainly to Don for his vision. All this goes to show that what we focus on grows. It's the universal law of mind-action and it works every time. God rushed in to support Don's vision when he took action. You and your friends can now watch videos of our services online. Way to go, Don... you ROCK!
