SUMMER AT WOOL & HONEY

Hello, friends--happy Summer!

sunset last night at Good Harbor Beach

So, so, SO many wonderful things are happening here at the shop. It is, without a doubt, the busiest and most energizing time of the year. Every single day, we get to spend part of our time catching up with someone, often an old friend we haven't seen for the better part of a year. We love that.

We love meeting new customers, too--we meet more of you every day. Welcome! We're so glad you found us. We look forward to sharing our thoughts, ideas, kits, yarns and plans with you--it's such an amazing time to be a knitter!

We have so much news that we're practically bouncing off the walls in anticipation.
For now, we want to share some BRAND new books here in the store, as well as two kits and some major, EPIC news....so big, you absolutely HAVE to mark it on your calendar right now so you'll be sure you won't miss it.
(That date would be the weekend of October 9-12th--Columbus Day Weekend 2015).

Here's hoping this email finds you well, whether you're just down the road or your travels are leading you this way over the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned as the pace begins to quicken around here (the closer we get to fall and cooler weather, of course!) Enjoy these long days and the beautiful sunshine--we certainly are!

TWO NEW KITS FOR SUMMER KNITTING

Stripes, stripes, stripes. We truly can't get enough. Nautical, fresh, bright, soothing...this cowl is just the thing to knit when your fingers want something to do, but your brain needs a little down time. Three-row stripes, this cowl elevates simple to the next level. The palette for this piece was inspired by none other than the Big Water, our beloved Lake Michigan.

Knit with Sparrow yarn from Quince & Co. this bag is both pretty and casual and the 100% linen content makes it strong and durable. Form and function!

YOTH YARNS TRUNK SHOW:
OCTOBER 9-11 2015

You guys.

Have you heard of YOTH Yarns yetNo?

Be prepared to be utterly and totally gobsmacked.

YOTH Yarns (Yarns On The House) is a brother-sister team based out of Washington State making amazingly simple, breathtakingly gorgeous yarns for knitters to create pieces that will become modern classics. The line consists of two weights (fingering and DK), in a beautiful palette of neutrals that are destined to become wardrobe staples.

We've had our eyes on them for the better part of a year now...and Veronika and Danny will be joining us for a trunk show HERE at Wool & Honey the weekend of October 9th! They'll be bringing Big Sister (DK) and Little Brother (fingering) in the Fresh and Raw Palettes, as well as their Puppies (the gradient kits featured in the photo above) that they ONLY bring to trunk shows. (Rumor has it that their both was so popular at Stitches West in January, there were extra security guards stationed nearby because YOTH yarns were flying out so fast.)

They might even be debuting a BRAND NEW yarn.

We have SO many more details to come, but for now, please, please, PLEASE mark your calendars for the weekend of October 9-11. Because this won't be any ordinary trunk show, friends. Not even CLOSE.
Wool & Honey is a bricks-and-mortar yarn shop located in Cedar, MI,
