We're thrilled to introduce that we've recently become a flagship store for American-made yarn company, Quince & Co. We're even happier to say we think there's nothing else quite like it. We're honored to have been chosen as one of their partners (the only one in Michigan, to be exact!) and we're committed to showcasing their gorgeous yarns and patterns as often as we can. You've already several of their yarns around the shop this summer, but beginning next weekend, we'll have 3 new yarns in a huge range of colors.
What To Expect Next Weekend:
Owl (worsted weight)--120 yds/skein; 4.5 sts/in on US 7:
Squishy, lofty, plump, little Owl is made from a blend of American alpaca and wool. It's spun and dyed in New England and knits up between 4 ½ to 5 stitches per inch, the perfect weight for just about everything.
Osprey (bulky weight)--170 yds/skein; 3.5 sts/in. on US 11:  Osprey is a cushy, comfy, 3-ply yarn spun from fluffy wool fleece. Its relaxed twist gives knits a soft, fluid hand. Texture patterns knitted in Osprey are lofty, light, and easy to work. Color patterns are bold and eye-catching
Puffin (super bulky weight)--112 yds/skein; 2.5 sts/in. on US 13:
Puffin is a plump, chunky, single-ply yarn spun from sturdy American wool fleece. Its felted texture knits up into garments with a soft halo and a broken-in feel. Puffin is great for quick accessories or cozy, wear-all-the-time sweaters.
We'll also be deeply restocking the other Quince yarns we've already had in the store this summer, including Sparrow (100% linen--fingering weight), Tern (75% wool/25% silk--fingering weight), Piper (50% Merino/50% mohair--fingering weight), Lark (100% wool--worsted weight) and Kestrel (100% linen--worsted weight).
