Summer Songs 2 Collection

 

Hummingbirds Music Together wants you to join us this summer for the Summer Songs 2 Collection!

You and your child with rock n' roll to "Allee Galloo", improvise with a beautiful Spanish folksong, "Maria Isabel" , and learn the best road trip song around with "Ridin' in the Car" - just to name a few of the 21 songs in the collection.

 

This 6-week semester starts July 8th. We are offering classes Monday through Saturday morning,  with a Monday evening class as well - bring the whole family!

 

Our classes take place in TWO locations!
Grosse Pointe Music Academy in Grosse Pointe Woods, and the GPMA branch in Canton - located near Canton Center Rd and Ford Road. Look for an article on this blossoming location in our August edition!

SING AND SIGN ALONG
 IN THE PARK
Third Friday - July 19th

 

We have collaborated with MomCat's Signing Academy this summer to bring you free family fun - outdoor music and movement sing-alongs! Our June Sing-along last Friday was attended by over 20 families with over 40 kids. Pictured left is "Miss Sarah" and "Miss Kelly", directors of the 2 organizations, signing the word "Sing" while singing "Can you sing like this?"

 

Meet us Friday, July 19th at 11 a.m. at the Rotary Tot Lot in Grosse Pointe. This toddler park is located at the corner of St. Clair and Waterloo in the City of Grosse Pointe.


Bring a blanket and your singing voices and get ready for some outdoor music-making!

If you can't make it, mark Aug 16th for our final Sing and Sign event this summer.

Jump down the Rabbit Hole with Alice and Hummingbirds Music Together as we take part in the Ford House's Fairy Tale Festival this Saturday, June 29th! Don't miss your chance to sing, play, make crafts, and watch Alice and her friends come to life. Miss Sarah and Miss Emily will host the "Flower Orchestra" station where you and your child will bring to life the Mad Hatter's tea party and the Caucus Race!

If you joined us or met us for the first time at Kickstart Your Summer at the Ford House on June 8th, thanks for coming! It was a lively event where we held 4 mini-classes throughout the day and forged a new relationship with the Detroit Children's Choir. (www.detroitchildrenrschoir.org).
