It's Carpool Week!
The benefits of carpooling are plenty: share driving costs with someone, use HOV lanes or designated parking spots, or take the time to read or sleep. If you've ever wanted to try it out, now is the perfect opportunity!
Between January 25th and February 8th, log your carpool or vanpool trip on the Trip Tool for a chance to win:
- one of three $500 VIA Rail vouchers;
- a one-night stay for two in the Corporate Jacuzzi Suite at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North valued at $325*;
- a $50 gift certificate to various restaurants*, or
- a $25 gift card to Costco Wholesale*.
*Available only to those registered under the Smart Commute Markham, Richmond Hill network.
The "Selfie Contest" is back! Take a picture with your carpool group and post it to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtags #smartcommute and #carpoolweek - don't forget to include or tag @smartcommutemrh! You can also like and post your picture on our Facebook page, while telling us why you choose to carpool. We will randomly select one lucky group to win a prize! See contest details here.
