Collect of the Day
O God, whose blessed Son made himself known to his disciples in the breaking of bread: Open the eyes of our faith, that we may behold him in all his redeeming work; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Reflection
"Every one of us is shadowed by an illusory person: a false self. I wind my experiences around myself and cover myself with glory like bandages in order to make myself perceptible to myself and to the world, as if I were an invisible body that could only become visible when something visible covered its surface. But there is no substance under the things with which I am clothed, I am hollow, and my structure of pleasures and ambitions has no foundation. I am objectified in them. But they are all destined by their contingency to be destroyed. And when they are gone there will be nothing left but my own nakedness and emptiness and hollowness, to tell me I am my own mistake."

MONDAY DEADLINE
We've had an amazing response to our Fellowship plans to attend the Sunday, June 26 7:30pm performance of As You Like It. So far twenty-nine Grace Church family and friends will be there to celebrate our eighteenth summer at the festival plus Shakespeare's 400th birthday. However, the deadline to finalize our order is Monday, April 11 so please contact Barbara Cross ASAP if you are interested in joining us. Tickets are $38 each. Call her @845- 358-4599 or send an e-mail to babcross@aol.com by Monday at noon. It will be another fun evening as young lords and ladies cast off the stuffy conventions of their lives at court -- and are swiftly entangled in a merry game of romantic antics, cross-dressing chaos and mistaken identity. Savor the liberating powers of friendship, love and imagination with Shakespeare's most exquisite comedy. Reserve your seat today!

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO PLEDGE.
Parting Thought

Entrance

Whoever you are: step out of doors tonight,
Out of the room that lets you feel secure.
Infinity is open to your sight.
Whoever you are.
With eyes that have forgotten how to see
From viewing things already too well-known, L
ift up into the dark a huge, black tree
And put it in the heavens: tall, alone.
And you have made the world and all you see.
It ripens like the words still in your mouth.
And when at last you comprehend its truth,
Then close your eyes
 and gently set it free.
