COLLECT OF THE DAY
O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people: Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Reflection

Engrafted to Neighbors

You, then, are my workers.  You have come from me, the supreme eternal gardener, and I have engrafted you onto the vine by making myself one with you.  Keep in mind that each of you has your own vineyard.  But everyone is joined to the neighbors' vineyards without any dividing lines.  They are so joined together, in fact, that you cannot do good or evil for yourself without doing the same for your neighbors.

The cards are purchased at a discount from West Point, and then sent directly to troops overseas. If you'd like to help, write a check or money or to New York Veterans, and send it to Soldiers Call Home, c/o Rivertown Magazine, 5 Edge Water Lane, Haverstraw, NY 19827. Cards may also be purchased by calling 800-527-2345 or going to aafes.org or att.com/military and clicking on "Help our troops call home." 100% of your gift is tax deductible.

CLIFFHANGER TALES OF LOVE, LUST, COMEDY, AND DREAMS

We all know the tale of the brilliant Scheherezade, who forestalled her execution at the hands of her cruel husband by telling him a story each night. He could not kill her until he knew how the story ended, but each night she would begin a new one. If this intrigues you, why not come to the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's performance of The Arabian Nights on Sunday, June 28 at 7:30pm? We have reserved 22 seats and already 16 are sold. To be included in the fun, contact Barbara Cross during coffee hour, call her @845- 358-4599 or send an e-mail to babcross@aol.com. You may also call the church office (845-358-1297, ext. 10) or send Thayer an email (twoodcock@gracechurchnyack.org) to reserve. Then write a check ($38.00 per ticket) to Grace Episcopal Church (Shakespeare on memo line), hand it in or mail to the church office. Remember...only 6 tickets are left so make your plans ASAP!

Parting Thought
The Prayer of St. Brendan the Voyager

Help me to journey beyond the familiar

and into the unknown.

Give me the faith to leave old ways

and break fresh ground with You.

Christ of the mysteries, I trust You

to be stronger than each storm within me.

I will trust in the darkness and know

that my times, even now, are in Your hand.

Tune my spirit to the music of heaven,

and somehow, make my obedience count for You.
