Facing the Sacred Moments
The higher goal of spiritual living is not to amass a wealth of information, but to face sacred moments. ...
The meaning of the Sabbath is to celebrate time rather than space. Six days a week we live under the tyranny of things of space; on the Sabbath we try to become attuned to holiness in time. It is a day on which we are called upon the share in what is eternal in time, to turn from the results of creation to the mystery of creation; from the world of creation to the creation of the world.
-Abraham Joshua Heschel, 1907-1972

SUMMERTIME AND THE LIVING IS EASY
All too easy to miss a pledge payment ....or two
Why Not Consider E-pledging?
Through the Diocese of New York, we participate in a program that makes it possible for pledge payments to be made to us automatically, via an electronic transfer from your bank account. You determine payment schedule, and we both receive records of payments. It's a win-win situation all around. If you'd like information, look for brochure in the narthex, or email us and we'd be happy to send it out to you.

Look To This Day
Kalidasa
Look to this day
For it is the very life of life.
In its brief course lie all
The verities and realities of your existence:
The glory of action,
The bliss of growth,
The splendour of beauty,
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow is only a vision;
But today well lived makes
Every yesterday a dream of happiness,
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day
