Collect of the Day
O God, you have taught us to keep all your commandments by loving you and our neighbor: Grant us the grace of your Holy Spirit, that we may be devoted to you with our whole heart, and united to one another with pure affection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Reflection

All parts should go together without forcing. You must remember that the parts you are reassembling were disassembled by you. Therefore, if you can't get them together again, there must be a reason. By all means, do not use a hammer.

SINGING IN THE SUMMER!

Interested in singing with the choir but are unsure of what it's all about?

Want a chance to keep your musical skills sharp during the Dog Days?  Curious about the view from the Choir Loft?  If so, there are four remaining opportunities to sing with the Summer Choir between now and September: July 14, July 28, August 11, August 25 (the second and fourth Sundays of the month).  Rehearsals are the same day at 9:15am in the Choir Room.  The Summer Choir sits in the pews for the service and comes up to the organ (or over to the piano) at the offering.  It's a perfect opportunity for families & young adults to make music!  For more information, please contact Brandon Beachamp, Interim Organist & Choirmaster.

Parting Thought

God speaks to each of us as he makes us,

then walks with us silently out of the night.

These are the words we dimly hear:

You, sent out beyond your recall,
go to the limits of your longing.

Embody me.

Flare up like flame

and make big shadows I can move in.

Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final.

Don't let yourself lose me.

Nearby is the country they call life.

You will know it by its seriousness.

Give me your hand.
