Collect of the Day

O God, from whom all good proceeds: Grant that by your inspiration we may think those things that are right, and by your merciful guiding may do them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Reflection

"If we stay where we are, where we're stuck, where we're comfortable and safe, we die there. We become like mushrooms, living in the dark, with poop up to our chins. If you want to know only what you already know, you're dying. You're saying: Leave me alone; I don't mind this little rathole. It's warm and dry. Really, it's fine.

When nothing new can get in, that's death. When oxygen can't find a way in, you die. But new is scary, and new can be disappointing, and confusing - we had this all figured out, and now we don't. New is life."

NEW   LOOKING FOR CHURCH SCHOOL TEACHERS

Grace Church School is possible thanks to our dedicated group of volunteer church school teachers. These teachers are parents, grandparents, or any other adult who enjoys working with kids. Each grade level is assigned three teachers to enable a rotation that requires teaching no more than every third week - it usually comes out to about once a month, in fact.  Please contact Lainie Murrell at 825-6236 or gracekidsnyack@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more about becoming a church school teacher.  Thank you!

CHURCH SCHOOL  BBQ

Mark your calendars! This Sunday the 9th is the last day of church school and our annual end-of-year church school BBQ and church school teacher recognition day is on Sunday, June 16 following the 9:30 service.  Please sign up to bring a salad, side dish or dessert on the 16. Respond to this email or sign up on Sunday.  Please contact Lainie Murrell at 825-6236 or gracekidsnyack@gmail.com or sign up on the sheet in Memorial Hall.
