Only 60 Seconds to More Success! 


Catching snowballs and sunshine! 

Meet Captain!  And yes, catching snowballs is one of his very favorite games.  As you can clearly see, he is totally focused and present waiting for a snowball to come his way. 

Here is how it the game works.  We toss Captain a snow ball. When he catches it, he excitedly eats it all up while pouncing around as thrilled as a child with their favorite snow cone. When he misses, it is gone forever as it just breaks up and rejoins all of the other snow on the ground; lost to him, his chance, his moment, is gone.  His disappointment is visible as the snowball disappears before his eyes. 

You can see his level of attention in this photo.  He is absolutely prepared and present in the moment, much more so than during his other favorite games of "Catching Tennis Balls" or "Catching Dog Toys".  Its as if he realizes that if he misses catching the the snowball, he cannot get the snowball back.  

And isn't that the way it is in life as well?  Some opportunities are like tennis balls! If at first we do not catch them, they will still be around for us to pick up later.     

And yet other opportunities are very much like snowballs!  If we are not watching, prepared or present to catch them in the moment, they are lost to us forever.  "Snowball opportunities" that come quickly to mind for me are: time with those we love, letting someone know how we feel when they need to hear it not when its convenient for us to say, and the opportunities for kindness and connection that come our way each day.   

Throughout my career, just as in my life, the "snowball opportunities" that really stand out are the ones that I fully showed up for, took a risk, put it all on the line in a fleeting, critical moment when it really mattered.  Doing so required that I was not only prepared, but that I was also totally focused in the moment so as not to let the snowball opportunity get away!

The Quantum Influence Leadership Retreat  launches with a virtual 90-minute introductory event and then begins at Noon on May 6th and Adjourns at Noon on May 8th.  Rooms have been reserved already for your registration as we have the full and private use of the Farmhouse Resort.  The Retreat Fee includes your full retreat experience including breakfast, lunch and refreshments throughout.
