"Contrology develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit."

Greetings!

We are as thrilled as you are to have the sun and warmth all around us again!  We want to welcome all of our new clients that have joined us in the last month.  Our studio has been busy and we love it!!  There is so much positive energy in the studio.  We are honored to have you all with us.

Are you new to the studio?  We have basically two class packages.
1) Intro Mat/Reformer (or Intro)
2) Level 1 and 2 classes

The two class packages are the same prices.  We keep the signup for the packages different however - you can't sign up for one if you have the other kind of package.  We do this for the integrity of the classes (we don't want to take away the quality of the level 1 and 2 clients) for the sake of the safety of the Intro level client.  It is much better for everyone if you try to find the depth of the work in the Intro or level 1 before moving onto a harder level class.  Instructor approval is required to move up to the next level class.

We had a terrific turnout for our charity class last month.  You helped us raise $200 towards the Pilates MN Helps Parkinson Team.  If you would still like to help you can donate to Pilates MN team online or we have a donation box at the studio and we will enter the amount for you.  Currently out of 77 teams Pilates MN is in second place for raising over $5,000!

You can still register to join our Pilates MN group on Saturday, May 4 @ 9 - 12 for Moving DayŽ - a day to move, a day that will move you and a day to move others.  We will be gathering a group of Pilates MN staff and clients to walk to raise money for the National Parkinson Foundation Minnesota.  Contact us or call 952-476-0304 to register or ask questions.

Do to this event as well as Pilates teacher continuing education, we will not have a charity class for May.  We will provide information on the next charity class in June

We are always looking for ways to improve your experience at Pilates MN.  If you have ANY suggestions for us we would love to hear from you.  Please let us know anything you like to see improved upon, classes/times offered, or anything you really like.  Email us
or call 952-476-0304.

Thanks for your continued support and dedication to the Pilates method at our studio.

Sincerely,

Pilates MN Staff

MovingDayMoving DayŽ - May 4, 2013
Parkinsons

People who move change the world!

Moving DayŽ is taking place across the country. The event is part of the plan to raise awareness and money for Parkinson's. Money raised will continue to support education, outreach, respite and more through NPFM. NPF recruited Katie Couric, whose father had Parkinson's, to help promote Moving Day nationally. NPF also brought onboard national sponsors such as Medtronic, Right at Home, Teva Neurosciences and UCB. And while every attendee will receive a gift for participating- participants who raise at least $100 earn a Moving Day T-shirt.

In 2012, nearly 3,000 people attended Moving Day, including people with Parkinson's, families, friends, health care professionals and family teams. Again in 2013 we will walk and enjoy music, food, family photos, and activities in the Movement Pavilion such as chair exercises, PowerUp and more. If you're walking, you may choose from three paths: 2.5 miles, 1.6 miles or .25 miles. It's a day to walk a little, walk a lot, move in the pavilion. You will want to check in with a local sponsor, PilatesMN to learn specific Pilates movements for Parkinson's disease.

May 4 is a day to move, a day that will move you

And a day to move others.  Please let us know if you would like to be a part of the Pilates MN Group walking together that day.  Contact Us or call 952-476-0304.
