 WORKOUT SMARTER!

"A few well-designed movements, properly performed in a balanced sequence, are worth hours of doing sloppy calisthenics or forced contortion.."

Happy Holidays!

Thanks for the terrific response to our last newsletter and for signing up for more classes!  The more you do Pilates the more you get out of it.  For all of us at Pilates MN it is THE most effective workout.  It also helps that when you "get it", Pilates will help with all the other fitness you do.  It is the exercise that keeps on giving!  Speaking of which, be sure to include Pilates MN Gift Certificates for a unique gift for friends and family.  It comes in all dominations.  We are still offering our terrific deal for new clients - $100 that includes a private workout/assessment and 5 Intro to Mat/Reformer classes.  Great way to introduce Pilates MN to your friends or family.

We love the responses/support we are getting on our charity classes as well.  Last class held on November 18 was sold out!  Sign up for the next Charity Class on Sunday, December 2 @ 2:30 pm.  This time we will be collecting Toys for Tots (remember teens as well).  NO COST just an unwrapped gift for a child!!  Pam Hasselbring will be doing a stretch class on the Reformer with small props and foam rolling.  Must register in advance so Sign up now !

ClassesClass News
Looking for a class to get your heart rate up a bit, i.e. burn more calories????  Try our jumpboard classes on Mondays at 12:30 pm or Tuesdays at 5:30 pm.  These 55 minute classes are done to upbeat music and are a combination of jumpboard and regular Pilates exercises.  The class consists of a 10 minute warmup, 35 minutes intervals of jumping and traditional Pilates exercises, and then 10 minutes of cool down/stretching.  The actually amount of jumping that is done is about 20-25 minutes broken up throughout the class.

The Barre class on Thursdays at 5:30 pm is another great way to burn more calories.  This 55 minute class is also done to lively music.  We use the back of the towers as a make shift ballet barre.  The class consists of approximately 10 minutes warm up, 10 minutes of low impact cardio, 20 minutes of intense leg/glute work, 10 minutes of abs, and 5 minutes of stretching.

Be sure to check the class schedule through the holidays as we will need to make some schedule adjustments.

Please double check to verify you are signed up for your classes.  You should receive a confirmation of your class via email.  If you don't, you are not signed up.
