Chamber News
A Letter From Our New Executive Director

2015 has been a remarkable year of growth, change, and challenge for Capitol Hill. We've seen new restaurants, retail, employers, shoppers, and diners added to our diverse, amazing community and we've said goodbye to beloved businesses.

Our community is poised to grow even more in 2016 as we become a multi-modal transportation hub when Sound Transit opens the Capitol Hill light rail station and SDOT launches the First Hill streetcar.
Growth brings challenges, and as the new Executive Director, I am excited to work with businesses, organizations and stakeholders to expand current and explore new ways the Chamber can foster a prosperous, diverse, healthy and engaged community. Keep an eye out for future opportunities to meet and mingle with fellow Chamber members and staff.

I am eager to meet our many members and staff, and I encourage you to contact me at or call the office at 206-328-6646 if you want to set up a coffee meeting in 2016.

The Seattle Made Gift Card can be used at over over two dozen local businesses, makers of everything from local beer to jewelry to ice cream - all made right here in Seattle! It's an e-gift card that's fun to send and easy to redeem straight from your phone, or it can be printed and delivered. This is unique, thoughtful gift that still lets your friends and loved-ones "have it their way," all while keeping more income and jobs in our community.

Participating businesses include breweries and distilleries such as Pike Brewing and Oola Distillery; famous sweets makers like Full Tilt Ice Cream and Theo Chocolate; and manufacturers of clothing, jewelry, and household goods. Check out a full list of participating businesses at:
