Work in Progress: an Open Mic

7:00PM-9:00PM
Monday, September 16, 2013
Richard Hugo House

For years Hugo House has been hosting Stage Fright, an open mic reading for teen writers. But why should kids have all the fun? That's why we launched Hugo Works in Progress, a literary open mic series for adults that happens on the first and third Monday of every month. The ground rules are simple:
1. Show up
2. Toss your name into the lottery
3. Get up and read when you hear your name.

Calling All Athletes: Free Functional Movement Screen at Vida Integrated Health

6PM
Saturday, September 19, 2013

Vida Integrated Health on Capitol Hill launches a fun and informative free series of events this month, so if you're interested in getting a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) reserve your spot at Wine + Wisdom-Functional Movement Screening. Used by athletes around the world including the Seahawks, the prestigious Mayo Clinic, and the Rehab and Sports Medicine team at Vida, the FMS screen identifies functional limitations and asymmetries within the body through a ranking and grading system that documents seven movement patterns. The FMS generates a score, then used to target problems, prevent future injuries and track progress.

Each participant in Vida's Wine + Wisdom Functional Movement Screening event gets tested and receives a free 15-20 minute follow-up consultation to go over their test scores and recommendations.

Space is limited. To learn how to reserve a spot, visit here.
