| Greetings! |

On Election Day, 2012 I was as anxious as a cat on a hot tin roof.  I hoped to be dancing in the streets of Capitol Hill later that night and not drowning my sorrows at one of our fine watering holes but the day itself was torture.  After the initial election results showing Referendum 74 winning, the streets of Capitol Hill became the dance party that I had hoped for, and it was great to see so many friends and neighbors celebrating the victory of equality. There are still ballots to be counted, certainly, but the mood today on Capitol Hill is ebullient.| | | Chamber Board Member Don Blakeney Celebrates Election Night. I'm proud to say that The Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce is one of the many business organizations in Washington to endorse Referendum 74, the referendum to approve marriage equality.  We made that endorsement early in the electoral process, even before Washington United for Marriage, the organization doing the difficult ground work to pass R74, reached out to us.  Read the rest here.   Sincerely,   Michael Wells Executive Director Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce  |
