GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY HELD FOR THE
FR. KEVIN FITZPATRICK AQUATICS CENTER
A groundbreaking ceremony on April 28, 2016 marked an important milestone in Servite history. In front of the assembled student body as well as an audience of benefactors, family and friends, Fr. Michael Pontarelli '73 blessed the ground for the new Fr. Kevin Fitzpatrick Aquatics Center at Servite.   In recent months, demolition was completed on three houses on Keystone Street to make way for the new state-of-the art facility. null President Peter S. Bowen '82 also shared that the impact of the new Aquatics Center goes far beyond our swim programs. "This is the first major capital project in 20 years at Servite and among our largest projects ever," he said. "The Aquatics Center will help our admissions efforts by demonstrating the vitality of our community and increasing our curb appeal. The new Aquatics Center also helps make room on our campus for future classrooms, a chapel and athletic facilities."

The 51-meter pool will feature solar heating, extra wide lanes for faster times, multiple floating and fixed cage water polo courses, pace clocks, shot clocks, a timing system and men's and women's locker rooms. The new Aquatics Center will allow multiple teams to practice, and will be able to host CIF, regional and national swimming and water polo tournaments. It will also double student participant capacity.

We are grateful to all those whose support have made this project possible, with special thanks to campaign leaders Jim Belardi '75 and Tim Buckley '73.  Next time you are in the neighborhood, stop by Servite and check out the changing face of our campus.  We are happy to arrange personal tours for our alumni.
FREE SEMINAR FOR SERVITE ALUMNI & FAMILIES:
