2015 EXCELLENCE IN LEADERSHIP DINNER

Servite has prepared an inspirational presentation of the story of Todd Hart '81 that will be presented at the fifth annual Excellence in Leadership Dinner will be Saturday, March 28th, 5 pm at the Anaheim Marriott. Coach Toner is Honorary Event Chair and will introduce Todd's story that will include a video of Todd's paralyzing college football injury and powerful testimonials from 6 alumni who aided his recovery. Todd will be recognized as Distinguished Alumnus. Paul Kelly '81, Brian Molloy '81, Jeff Mook '81, Gene Ramos '81, Kurt Sardella '79 and John Stoody '81 will receive the first Brotherhood Award. Student leaders will present Servite's ministry to the homeless of Anaheim. The Servite Choir and Jazz Band will showcase the many talents of students. The Excellence in Leadership Dinner will be an event that will mark the ages of Servite's storied history. It will be even more special if you are there! LEGACY SOCIETY CAMPAIGN
The Servite Legacy Society is for alumni, parents and other friends who wish to include Servite in their estate plan through will bequests, life insurance, trust or retirement plan designations. John Ganahl '62, Tom Heywood '71 and Cam Wallace '87 are teaming up to encourage alumni to join them in making a legacy provision for Servite. Legacy gifts are ultimately used for the Servite Endowment to provide financial aid to students whose families cannot afford tuition and to assist with education program support for Servite. The goal is to have 100 Legacy Society members by June 30, 2015. Please consult your estate planning advisor to make Servite a beneficiary of your estate plan. THE BLACK AND WHITE CHALLENGE IS BACK!

The Windsong Trust of Las Vegas, NV has offered Servite High School a $250,000 challenge grant. This means all donations to Servite's Annual Fund will be matched up to $250,000!

 

You received a class appeal letter in November. Any donation made by check or credit card online will count toward your class's total. The Black and White Challenge will track donations from each class. The class with the highest percentage of donors and the class with the highest dollar amount raised will be announced in January. Winning classes will receive a Servite hosted pizza and refreshment party.

We hope you will accept the challenge to support the programs that are the key to the Servite Difference. With the Windsong challenge grant, every dollar you give has double impact for program support and financial aid Servite.

Servite Annual Fund provides opportunities to students that are not covered by tuition--financial aid for 264 deserving students, priory leadership, music, theatre, athletics, JSA, and Robotics. All students benefit from Annual Fund programs every year.

REMEMBERING RICHARD ROACH 
Approximately 70 alumni gathered in Seven Holy Founders Chapel at Servite on December 26th for a memorial service for their beloved teacher, Mr. Richard Roach. Mr. Roach, who passed away peacefully November 14th, taught Theology at Servite from 2005 to 2011 and served as the founding Rector of the Alexis Priory.  Mr. Roach's funeral was celebrated in his home parish, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Hialeah, Florida, December 27th.

ALUMNI BASKETBALL SOCIALS

Two alumni basketball socials have been scheduled for former players. Servite is hosting 5:30 pm dinner/social followed by 7:30 pm game.

Conrad Neumann, Jr. '63
is retired from 26 years in the US Air Force and living in Huntington Beach, CA with his wife Michelle. He has two children, Conrad III retired US Air Force 3 after 23 years of service and a daughter Kelly who lives in northern California and has 3 children.
