Haris Karim '08 is working as a marketing strategist for MAB Ventures, an internet solutions provider.

Matt Kalil '08 received franchise rights to open Pieology Pizza Restaurants in California, Texas and Minnesota. The first one is open in Corona and will soon be followed by an opening near Austin, Texas.

Servite broke new ground in pursuit of academic greatness as the Academic Decathlon team took first place in Division III competition among 37 other Orange County high schools. The team is coached by Kieran Scott '83, Servite English Department chair. In addition to the team award, 12 Friars took home 38 individual medals. Credo!

Alumni gathered recently to pay their respects to former Football Defensive Coordinator Tom Toner. A Rosary was held in the Servite Gym March 14 and funeral at St. Justin's March 15. Several alumni shared entertaining and moving tributes including Frank Kalil '77, Ed Drzanek '78, Ed Robles '78, Gary Giese '87, Cam Wallace '87, Daniel Maher '88, and Kevin Traut '88. Thank you Tom Toner for your dedicated service to Servite Football. Rest in Peace.

The George Dena Memorial event scheduled for April 5th, will be rescheduled when we determine the location of a permanent monument honoring Coach George Dena's contribution to Servite tradition and lore as the creator of the Hut Drill. We will notify you of the rescheduled date and time.

Reunion planning has begun for the Classes of 1964, 1974, 1984, 1989, 1994, 2004 and 2009. Servite is scheduling a reunion the weekend of the Mater Dei Football game, October 17th. Servite provides reunion classes with class list contact information, sends save the date and other reunion promotion notices, arranges discount lodging and sets up a website to collect reunion fees.
