From the Friar
Key Club Meets with the President of Operation of Hope
Servite High School's Key Club worked closely for the past few months with Operation of Hope, an organization that helps families with children affected by cleft lips. Key Club was able to raise $520 in cash and collect over 5 tubs of stuffed animals, blankets, and baby items. The club was able to present the President, Jennifer Trebuenbach, with the check Wednesday, April 24, 2013. The Alexis priory got involved by donating money for supplies and making the blankets during priory periods in the month of April. The club is so proud to see how many lives will be affected in Zimbabwe, Africa.
Jackie Francois speaks at Servite
Last Thursday, Jackie Francois spoke to our student body during Priory period about Chastity. We were reminded how to treat woman and how to be real men. We were told that real men are those who are respect women, those who are spiritual, and those who truly care about women. After a few good laughs her fiancé Bobby Angel, Coordinator of Retreats, came on stage and proposed again to Jackie while I Will Wait by Mumford & Sons played. Unlike most male speakers, Jackie Francois was able to offer a woman's perspective on the subject of chastity.

Campus Store, Trinity Corporation & Fresh Kitchen
Trinity Corporation, Servant's Kitchen and Priory Leadership is proud to announce the winning design of the Spirit Shirt contest for next year , "Our Blood Runs Black, White and Gold" designed by Jason Ramos '13. Congratulations, Jason!
The Spirit Shirt program began in 2006 with the first shirt design created by students with all proceeds going to Financial Aid. Originally sponsored only by Trinity Corp, Priory and Servants Kitchen joined us in 2011 to broaden the base of support and awareness of our commitment to serving our community. Since 2006, we have sold over 15,000 shirts and generated over $150,000 in revenue. This is a literal expression of our shared motto of "brothers helping brothers". The shirt will be available online and in the Campus Store soon.
Campus Store
The Campus Store has a new addition from our very own Carolyn Dietrich of Carolyn's Classware. We just received wine goblets embellished with found objects and gems. Each one is unique and handmade with Carolyn's attention to detail in every piece. This is special gift for that special person on your gift list. Stop in and see more of Carolyn's work in the Campus Store daily from 12-1pm and 2pm -5pm.
Fresh Kitchen
Now that the weather is warming, we are pleased to offer salad specials made with fresh ingredients and the "from scratch" attention to detail you have come to expect from the Kitchen. Chinese Chicken Salad, Caesar Chicken, Asada Fiesta Salad and more. These salads are offered for $5 with a water on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and are a sell out each day.
