Tri-School Grad Night Fundraising Event

Grad Night 2013 is kicking off its fund raising event and is offering you, not one, but two opportunities to help in this endeavor!

The Grad committee has been granted the exclusive rights to be the official refreshment provider at the annual Rosary RED & GOLD student run musical competition in the Servite Theater on Friday March 8th and Saturday March 9th.

Nothing makes the RED & GOLD more special, than great entertainment, enjoyable company, and scrumptious treats.

As our part of the special weekend we are soliciting our community for donations of:

  •  canned soda
  •  coffee
  •  hot chocolate
  •  bottled water, Gatorade, or Smart Water (energy drinks are not allowed)
  •  Costco or Smart & Final gift cards

For those who love to bake, or would prefer to supply snacks, we are in need of:

  •  individually wrapped homemade cookies, Rice Krispie treats, or cake pops
  •  individually wrapped homemade brownies
  •  cupcakes
  •  assortment of individual candies, nuts or chips (excluding any M&Ms, Skittles or                                       gum)

For those who prefer to donate by volunteering time at the event, we also are looking for volunteers to man, or woman, our booth for the shows on:

  • Friday afternoon - March 8th - (1 PM - 4:30 PM) show starts at 2PM
  • Friday night - March 8th - (7 PM - 10:30 PM) show starts at 8PM
  • Saturday afternoon - March 9th - (12 PM - 3:30 PM) show starts at 1PM
  • Saturday evening - March 9th - (7 PM - 10:30 PM) show starts at 8PM

Donations can be left in the school office for pick-up by the Grad Committee.  Please mark them for Grad Night.

Please, come join us, and enjoy the feeling of satisfaction that comes from helping to reward the hard working men and women of our schools.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated by our committee.  Thank you for your kind attention.

The 2013-14 Honors and AP sign-ups process begins March 5!

On Tuesday, March 5, from 8:00 - 8:50 a.m., students wanting to take HP and/or AP courses next year must request approval from the teachers of the courses.

On Tuesday morning, students will sign up to show their interest and pick up a handout that explains the requirements for approval, the course description, the expectations for homework, and the grading policy of the teacher.  In order to enroll in an HP and/or AP course, students must be approved based on established criteria determined by the departments.

We do offer a few special electives that also require teacher approval.  If your son would like to enroll in any of the following courses, he must go to the assigned room to sign up for the course and get the handout:

Ancient/Modern Warfare

Film Aesthetics

Film Video Production

Journalism

Marine Biology

Yearbook

Guitar 2, 3 and 4 must be approved by Mr. Goodhart.

Concert Band 2 and Jazz Band must be approved by Mr. Burrows.

Advanced Chorus must be approved by Mrs. Kasang.

Theology and Foreign Language Honors and AP course requests will be taken by the students' current teachers during class time.  Students who are interested in taking AP Latin Virgil or AP Spanish should visit the teacher on Tuesday morning to ask any questions they might have about the course.  Honors placement in math will be done internally through a placement test administered later in the year.

Please see the schedule for course/teacher room numbers. (We could put a link here.)

If you have any questions about HP and/or AP placement, please contact your grade level counselor.
