We hope you enjoyed our first Alumni Newsletter in September and we look forward to our continued communication each month. As we draw closer to Reunion season, make sure to check dates and details so you can mark your calendars and join us in our celebrations. We especially look forward to seeing you at the Servite vs. Mater Dei game at Angel Stadium November 2, 2012. Don't forget that Alumni have a VIP section in the Diamond Club seating, so reserve your tickets as soon as possible. See below for details and we'll see you there.

Servite VS Mater Dei Football Game

      
Servite has reserved the entire Diamond Club section of Anaheim Stadium (1,400 seats) as an Alumni Section for the Servite Mater Dei Game scheduled for Friday, November 2, 2012. The Diamond Club is located on the field level in the southwest end zone (behind home plate). Access to this area will give you the ability to purchase exclusive menu food and drinks.

Ticket Price is $15 and limited to a quantity of 20 per alum.

Tickets can be picked up in the Advancement Office beginning Monday October 29th from 9am - 5pm daily through Wednesday October 31st. You must bring your drivers license with the name of the alum who purchased the tickets to redeem your purchase.

*Should you need to pick up your tickets at the game, there will be an Alumni "Will Call" from 3:30pm-7:30pm outside of Gate 3, which is where you will enter the stadium.

Special Alumni VIP Pre-Sale for Servite/Mater Dei Game at Angel Stadium: Friday, November 2

 

As a special benefit for our alumni, Servite has reserved the entire Diamond Club at Angel Stadium (1,400 seats) as its Alumni Section for the Servite/Mater Dei varsity football game on Friday, November 2, 2012.  This game represents both the last league game and the last regular season game so come on out and cheer your Friars to victory!

 

The Diamond Club is located on the field level in the southwest end zone (behind home plate).  Reserved access to the Diamond Club will provide you with the opportunity to purchase exclusive menu food and drinks.

 

Ticket price is $15 each and limited to a purchase quantity of 20 tickets per alumnus.

 

Tickets can be picked up in the Advancement Office beginning Monday, October 29th, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM daily through Wednesday, October 31st.  You must provide the drivers license of the alumnus who purchased the ticket(s) to redeem your purchase.

Servite Alumni Garden Dedication: Sunday, November 4

 

This capstone event of

Alumni Celebration Weekend will be held on Sunday, November 4. 

Servite will host the following events on campus for all alumni to celebrate the christening of the newly constructed Servite Alumni Garden: 

 

 9:30 AM - Continental Breakfast

11:00 AM - Family Mass honoring Servite Alumni

 

12:00 PM - Dedication of the Servite Alumni Garden listing all Servite graduates from the Class of 1962 through the Class of 2012

 

12:30 PM - Servite-Hosted Lunch featuring the Servite Jazz Band and tours of campus

2012 Servite Alumni Basketball Game

 

Servite Basketball would like to invite all Servite alumni to participate in this year's Alumni Basketball Game on Friday, November 23rd at Servite. The day begins at 9:00am with the Sophomore team playing the Freshman Gray team and is followed by a matchup between the Junior Varsity team and the Freshman Black team at 10:00am.

 

The Alumni v. Alumni game (odd graduating years versus even graduating years) will take place at 11:00am. Immediately following the Alumni v. Alumni game will be the featured match. In what promises to be another exciting game, the Varsity basketball team will look to defend their victory from the 2011 Alumni Game with tipoff set for 12:00pm.

 

Last year's game turned out to be one of the better Alumni games in recent years. This is a game the Varsity basketball team looks forward to as they are preparing for another season. The players are extremely excited about the opportunity to face the alumni that paved the way for them and to have the opportunity to see all of the players that came before them. Our Varsity team embraces the challenge of having to compete in an extremely physical and intense environment against the alumni in preparation for our home opener against El Toro on December 5 at 7:30pm.

 

I look forward to seeing everyone and please feel free to stop by at any time to see this year's Varsity team in action. The door is always open for all alumni to come by. You can find the Basketball Calendar and other information about the basketball program at the Servite Basketball Website.

Alumni at Fashion Show


Servite held its 54th Annual Fashion Show & Luncheon Sunday, October 14th and it was a huge success. This is a fantastic and fun event for your wives and daughters to attend. Some of our fellow brothers were featured in the big event: Brian  Brennan '96, Richard Greene '86, Scott Jones '91,
Fr. John LeVecke '71 and Jim Stoneman '68
