Quotations
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
Mark Twain
"There is a loftier ambition in than to merely stand high in the world. It is to stoop down and lift mankind a little higher."
Henry Van Dyke
"Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity."
Henry Van Dyke
"Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except the best."

Ahoy Captain
As a preface to this week's poem, which is in lieu of an article, I need to explain the inclusion of the poem. On October 15th, my son Christopher passed away. It is a most difficult time. At the same time, we will carry on and honor his great legacy and be there for his wife and son.
There are many lessons for all of us in losing a loved one. I have heard from many who have had like experiences. I'll be walking down that road with my family, and as lessons present themselves that have value for our readers, I will include them accordingly.
For the rest of the year our tele seminars will focus on year end and planning for 2013. Sign up now to get a jump on 2013.
As I work with people, it seems they feel as if they are the only ones who lack motivation at times, get off schedule, or just aren't as good as someone to whom they compare themselves. They are not alone with these feelings.
We all have those moments. We all feel as others do. Don't assume the others are perfect. They are perfect, just as perfect as you are. You can do what they do, if you set your mind to it. Yes, you can.
The article this week is a must read poem. I did not write it. It's short and powerful. Read it, reread it, and sit with it.

FEATURED ARTICLE
Gone From My Sight
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength and I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says, "There! She's Gone!"
Gone where?
Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living weight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There! She's Gone!" There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "There she comes!"
And that is dying.
