Dear Friends,
Welcome to the new electronic version of the CCHS newsletter, "Paw Prints."  We hope you'll enjoy hearing about upcoming events and other CCHS news.
Run, Jog, or Strut for CCHS

CCHS has once again been selected as a charity partner in the Illinois Marathon, April 25-26. Through last year's partnership, local runners raised over $5,000 for the animals. This year we can raise even more, with your help!

If you are participating in the Illinois Marathon, please consider making CCHS your running partner. Just imagine knowing that every painful step you take will help an animal find a home. What better motivation is there?

Making CCHS your Illinois Marathon running partner is an easy, 2-step process:
(1) Register for the Illinois Marathon
(2) Go to our Crowdrise page and start your own fundraising page for CCHS.

Not a runner?  If a stroll through the park with your four-legged best friend is more your speed, you're in luck. Our annual Mutt Strut is Saturday, May 10th, at Hessel Park.

Last year's Mutt Strut participants raised over $14,000 for CCHS without breaking a sweat!

For more information about this annual day-in-the-park for dogs and to register or set-up your fundraising page, visit www.cuhumane.org

To Everyone at CCHS,
I just wanted to let you know that Vivian is doing very well in her new home! She has become quite the lap cat since coming home with us. Vivian is also getting along well with our other cat Winnie, who she previously shared a community room with at CCHS...so I guess you could say they were REUNITED. Thanks again and we couldn't be happier to have her!

Dear CCHS,
I just wanted to update you on Izzy. She is the perfect dog and we couldn't be happier with the new member of the family. She loves the dog park and meeting all her new puppy buddies. She is a quick learner and wants to please, plus it seems she has a sense of humor. We quickly found out she was housebroken! Izzy loves to patrol the backyard and make sure there are no squirrels, birds, or butterflies and a car ride with a stop at the pet store is one of her favorite things. We can't thank you enough for bringing her to our attention, Peggy Reffett
