Dear Friend,
This sure is a busy time at CCHS! We're getting ready for some big events, including two of our biggest annual fundraisers, Mutt Strut and the GIANT Garage Sale.
But first up, we're having our first ever "Price is Right Weekend" this Saturday and Sunday. This 2-day event includes a low-cost vaccine clinic on Saturday and an adoption special on Sunday.
While we strongly urge all pet owners to make an annual appointment with their veterinarian for vaccines and a wellness exam, we encounter pet owners every day who are unable to keep up with all the costs of pet ownership. We're holding this one-day clinic to offer some basic care at a very low price to help prevent disease among as many pets as possible and to encourage compliance with Rabies vaccination laws.
We'll be charging just $5.00/each for the basic dog and cat vaccines, and offering a variety of other services for very modest fees. All animals will receive a physical exam before vaccination. Get all the details.
On Sunday, we're holding our first ever "Price is Right" Adoption Special. Approved adopters will spin the Prize Wheel to win a prize or a discount on their adoption fee.
If you're thinking Spring is a good time to bring home a dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, hamster, rat, or ferret, please come out to the shelter on Sunday!

$2 per person entrance donation until 3pm
Saturday, May 25, 2013, 8am - 6pm
$3 bag sale starts at 3pm
Sunday, May 26, 2013, 10am - noon
Giveaway! $1 admission per person
Drop Off Information
We'll be accepting donations for the sale at Kesler Hall,
at the Champaign County Fairgrounds
at the following times:
Thursday, May 16: noon to 7pm
Friday, May 17: noon to 7pm
Saturday, May 18: 9am - 3pm
Sunday, May 19: noon to 3pm
What kind of items will we accept?
- Donations of good, usable, unbroken items.
- We cannot accept large items of furniture, magazines, large kitchen appliances, sinks, windows, outdated computer equipment, paint, chemicals, tires and remainders from other organization's sales.
- Clothing donations welcome.
- Retailers: donations of excess inventory are welcome!
- All donations of items are tax deductible.
